VBNet is a Florida Corporation, VBNet Incorporated, privately held and with no long term debt and no equipment leases. VBNet was organized, incorporated and began providing Internet related services in June of 1996. Initially, VBNet provided dial-up Internet access, web site development, and web site hosting.

IN 1998, VBNet won the first-ever Orange County Florida contract to provide Internet access services for exhibitors and attendees at the Orange County Convention Center. VBNet established adjunct offices at the Convention Center. VBNet also began providing Internet services at most of the area convention hotels, including the Rosen hotels, The Peabody, The Marriott World Center, The SeaWorld Renaissance, and Disney’s Dolphin and Swan Hotels.

VBNet won an additional contract with Orange County to provide a video display system – what we would refer to today as a digital signage system – at the Convention Center. VBNet installed 36 large format networked SONY monitors throughout the convention Center all centrally controlled “over the network”. Each monitor was individually addressable and could display unique content. Any grouping of monitors could be defined to display the same content. The monitors were used to provide event information, exhibitor ads, and way-finding for attendees. The system was also integrated with the Convention Center’s emergency procedures and would display appropriate messages in the event of various problems.

Today, VBNet has evolved to be an Internet Service Provider vertically integrated with the additional capabilities of Specialty Electrical Contracting and voice communications as a CLEC. We specialize in student housing and multi dwelling units (MDU) Internet Access throughout Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina.

VBNet continues to expand service and service areas. We believe that wireless services are increasingly important and continue to explore wireless integration into existing and future projects. VBNet also plans to expand its Uninterruptible Power Supply Services business.
